Having plenty of products to touch and savor makes Tatjana R. radiate happiness on a regular basis.

A finger on the pulse of products

Tatjana R. has a passion for the food market, which is in a state of constant development. As product management team leader at Krüger GmbH & Co. KG, she can recite the recipes of over 100 items off by heart. The marketing expert finds developing these products continuously for the target groups of tomorrow a particularly fascinating part of her job.

This is your second time at Krüger. Why did you join the company and what motivated you to make a comeback?

I started my career in Bergisch Gladbach five years ago as a product manager for tea and cocoa specialties. I had fond memories of many of these products – like the lemon tea – from my childhood. And being able to work in the food industry, especially for a family manufacturing business, appealed to me tremendously. After three successful years, I also wanted to gain professional experience outside the company. But when the opportunity arose for me to come back to Krüger, I didn’t hesitate for long. I can work here with complete independence – that’s exactly my cup of tea and it played an important role in my decision.

What responsibilities do you have in your job?

In product management, practically everything revolves around meeting our customers’ needs. In cooperation with my team and the research and development department, I design a wide range of products for our brand and private labels, each of which is precisely tailored to individual requirements.

When it comes to the planning and managing of marketing, our team works closely with the sales department – both domestically and internationally, online and in bricks and mortar retail. So my role is extremely diverse.

What gives you particular enjoyment?

To be able to work independently, discover new approaches and be able to fulfill my potential. And to feel how fast the food market world turns every day. I particularly like creating new trends and flavors and introducing them into our product portfolio. And because I sit at the information interface, so to speak, I also have the advantage of being able to exchange information with many colleagues from other departments.

During which activities do you completely immerse yourself in your own world?

Immersion is definitely the order of the day when our team excitedly exchanges ideas for new products. It can get quite loud sometimes (laughs). A special magic is also created when we taste new flavors together. These are the moments you work towards for a long time and you are equally curious about the result.
